Update on Election Services Following Hurricanes Helene and Milton

This webpage will serve as a source of relevant updates for all voters affected by the storms.

Our Offices

Our offices are closed until October 14 due to Hurricane Milton.

Mail Ballots

Mail ballots were mailed on October 1, 2024, in accordance with Florida law. You may track the status of your mail ballot.

If you are in an area that is currently not receiving mail delivery, the post office servicing your zip code will hold mail for residents to pick up. Please see the United States Post Office Service Alerts for further details.

Registered voters affected by the hurricane do not need to update their residential address if they are temporarily displaced. If you are receiving your mail at a different address other than your residential address, contact us at 727-464-VOTE (8683).

Voters can return their ballots one of the following ways:

• Mail it back with the postage-paid envelope;
• Return it to a secure ballot return location. The locations, dates and times are still to be determined;
• Return it to one of our three offices.

Voted mail ballots must be received at one of the three Supervisor of Elections Offices by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voters are advised to allow at least ONE WEEK for their ballot to be returned by mail to the Supervisor of Elections Office.

If you need to request a mail ballot, please call us at 727-464-VOTE (8683).

Early Voting Sites and Secure Ballot Return Locations

While our seven early voting sites were unaffected by Hurricane Helene, we will reassess following Hurricane Milton. Updates on those and the secure ballot return locations will be provided as soon as possible.

Polling Places

Our teams identified suitable alternative sites to those damaged in Hurricane Helene and will perform additional assessments following Hurricane Milton. We will keep voters informed of subsequent changes.

Poll Worker Training

Pinellas County Training Center and Election Service Center classes will take place on Monday, October 14, as scheduled. Classes at SPC Tarpon and SPC Allstate Center are canceled on October 14 because the campuses are closed. Necessary training classes are being rescheduled to ensure that our team is fully prepared to facilitate a smooth election process. For questions call 727-464-6110.

Stay Informed
